Stabilisation of Ozone in Water for Microbial Disinfection

In current times of increasing global decontamination concerns, sustainable and environmentally-friendly technologies that possess rapid effective disinfection capabilities are necessary for public health safety. this study, we evaluate the potential ozone-based technology to reveal its immense in applications. Ozonated water generated by an electrolytic method was utilised quantify ozone retention as a function mineralogical composition microbial decontamination. The impacts temperature detergent concentration on critically analysed, well ozone’s decomposition stain removal characteristics. addition, fabric swatches inoculated with known concentrations environmental microbes (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus) washed ozonated ascertain impact wash duration bacterial efficiency. results show significant improvement stability mineral at low presence detergent. experiments demonstrate first-order kinetics aqueous formulations. potency is also substantiated microbiota (up 7 log reduction bacteria analysed), thus making it sterilisation This reduces need toxic chemicals or by-products (e.g., chlorine) large-scale operations various industries.
